Mr. Dufva called the meeting to order at 7:30pm. All Trustees were present.
Trustee CA Kapono nominated Bill Daly to fill the vacant seat #3. M Kapono seconded the motion and it passed 6-0. The Board is now full.
Ray Rose of US Lawns was present and spoke with the Board regarding the landscape maintenance. Rick Pitrowski indicated that the contractor had done a good job and the only question/concern he had was the palm trees in the front. After much discussion the Board and contractor agreed on a new species of palm.
The Board discussed the accident up front and the sign that was destroyed. Christine was unable to find a copy of a report and it was determined there had been none. Rick Pitrowski will present a new sign design at the next meeting for approval.
Deputy Fleet gave the security report and indicated June was a quite month with only one stolen vehicle. May was a little busier with three burglaries and several thefts. The incidents with the four wheel ATVs seems to be improving.
Cynthia Anne Kapono reported on the traffic-calming project and stated that the county staff was very thankful for the Board members who had attended. The staff would be making the decisions based upon the communities input and hopefully start within the next 90 days. The county is hoping to slow the traffic along Monterey Blvd.
Trustee Ruth left the meeting at 8:10 due to a schedule conflict.
The Treasurers report was presented and M Kapono motioned to approve as presented. J Gilliam seconded the motion and it passed 6-0.
Rick Pitrowski gave the management report and indicated the sod looks great. The road borders will be started in the next couple weeks and will look like the ones currently in the front. New flowers are expected in July for the front entrance and Rick has pointed out some minor flaws in the detail work to the landscape maintenance contractor. The sign lights have been fixed on the north side of Logan Gate Blvd. We will be adding the irrigation maintenance to the landscape contractors duties. Sand in the curbs is due to the rains we are finally receiving .US Lawns is on top of it. Cypress trees look strong along the creek on Monterey Blvd. And more wall pressure washing is scheduled for the next 60 days.
The issue of Mrs. Collazos fence was brought up once again and the Board voted 6-0 to not pay for replacement on a motion by CA Kapono with a second by M Kapono.
M Kapono also motioned that this issue not be considered again. CA Kapono seconded the motion and it also passed 6-0.
New Trustee Daly motioned to adjourn the meeting with a second by D Gilliam. Vote was 6-0.
